Fadwa Balestra

Fadwa Balestra has been a registered dental hygienist for more than 15 years and her experience in the dental field stretches over two decades.

Fadwa first began her career in 1997, graduating from the Chairside Dental Assisting Program at Career Canada College before going on to become a Level 2 dental assistant.

Her passion for oral hygiene and a desire to enhance her skill set motivated Fadwa to enter the Dental Hygiene program at Niagara College which she graduated from in 2002.

She spent a decade working in general practice which she enjoyed.

In 2008 Fadwa became authorized by the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario to self initiate the act of scaling and root planing. In 2011 she had the opportunity to work in the public sector for the city of Hamilton which enhanced her career as a dental hygienist by allowing her to instill positive oral hygiene practices in school aged children.

Since then, Fadwa’s dedication to her clients led her to work as an independent dental hygienist where she is able to provide them with optimal oral hygiene care based on each individual’s needs. This has given her the freedom to devote more time and energy to her patient’s oral care and well-being. Her easy going manner and sense of humour put even the most anxious client at ease. She is passionate about the oral-systemic link and wants to provide her clients with the care they deserve by making necessary referrals to other dental or medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for each individual.

She is an active member of the Ontario Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association, and participates in continuing education and study clubs with fellow dental hygienists to stay up to date with new oral hygiene products and treatment information to provide her clients with personalized care plans based on their specific needs.

Fadwa’s goal is to always leave her clients feeling healthy, happy and confident to flash their bright,  brilliant smiles.

As a wife and mother of three, Fadwa cares about health and wellness and believes that proper nutrition and fitness are essential to one’s overall well-being. She strives every day to make these values part of her family’s daily life and her dental hygiene practice.
